The practice welcomes Patrick Daoust as Managing Director in Canada and Giacomo Giobbi as Managing Director in Italy

New York, NY – May 29, 2025 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal’s (A&M’s) Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG) announces the appointments of Patrick Daoust as a Managing Director in Canada, based in Montreal, and Giacomo Giobbi as a Managing Director in Italy, based in Milan, as part of the continued expansion of its global senior talent roster.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the M&A marketplace, Mr. Daoust specializes in operational due diligence and performance improvement, supporting local and cross-border private equity and corporate investments across both the Canadian and U.S. markets. Most recently serving as Partner at Roland Berger, Mr. Daoust combines strategy consulting and sector expertise to advise clients across multiple industries, including aerospace, industrials, business services and consumer products. Prior to Roland Berger, Mr. Daoust served as Partner at both Oliver Wyman and Accenture.

Mr. Giobbi spent over 15 years with Deloitte’s Transaction Services practice in Italy, building his reputation in cross-border and buy- and sell-side transactions across EMEA and U.S. M&A markets, advising both private equity and corporate clients through acquisitions, disposals, mergers, carve-outs and sale and purchase agreements (SPAs). Paired with his deep knowledge of the infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, media & telecom (TMT) and life sciences sectors, Mr. Giobbi also boasts significant international experience. Having been seconded for multiple years to the Deloitte London Corporate Finance office, he was exposed to major global private equity and infrastructure investors. Prior to becoming a transaction advisory professional, Mr. Giobbi provided recurring financial statement independent audit services to private and public audit clients at Deloitte in Italy.
