Pierre Arman is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Dubai.

With more than 17 years of experience in the indirect tax space, Mr. Arman specializes in tax technology automation, with a recent focus on the implementation of e-invoicing across various markets, including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Australia, Poland and Romania.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Arman was a Partner at Ernst & Young, first based out of the U.K., and then the UAE, with a global remit. There, he introduced the EY proprietary software as a service (SaaS) globally for both VAT reporting and e-invoicing, setting up a team that would go on to bring in triple-digit growth year-on-year. 

Previously, Mr. Arman spent over 10 years at Thomson Reuters in the U.K., Australia and the UAE. He led the creation of the Tax & Accounting division of Thomson Reuters in the Middle East, serving as the tax market leader for global technology offerings. He also started the global offering of e-invoicing for Thomson Reuters. 

Mr. Arman earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Lycée Ozenne in France and a master’s degree in international business from Hult International Business School (Asbridge Executive Education).
