With deep expertise in improving performance across corporate and private enterprises, underpinned by industry experience in supply chain management and information technology, Mr. Relf specializes in helping clients take aggressive steps to reset the structural costs imbedded in general administration and routine operations.

Mr. Relf brings more than 30 years of cost optimization experience leading high-performance, global teams that deliver complex change programs across Europe, Russia, China, Australia and the U.S. His notable assignments include leading a rapid cost takeout program for a global engineering, construction and procurement company that provides fossil and renewable power generation and environmental equipment for power and industrial markets worldwide. He identified a sustainable 28 percent reduction in annual IT costs by rationalizing business applications, right sizing user licenses, altering support agreements and reorganizing the global delivery model.

Previously, Mr. Relf led a corporate transformation program for a Fortune 500 global pure-play, coal mining company serving the power and steel industries in 25+ countries across six continents by redesigning the operating model and organizational structure to drive agility and efficiency. This resulted in material reductions in SG&A and OpEx and $100 million in cost reductions. He delivered a rapid cost takeout program for an upstream company with producing assets in the Permian Basin, Midwest, Ark-La-Tex, Mid Continent, the Rockies and California, achieving a 37 percent reduction in annual IT costs.

Prior to that, Mr. Relf led the selection and implementation of a Global Shared Services project that outsourced transaction processing related to accounts payable, financial reporting, sourcing, purchasing and IT, reducing G&A costs by 42 percent for an international upstream company with assets in 20+ countries.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Relf spent seven years with BG Group as a CIO based in Brisbane, Australia and as a supply chain executive responsible for supporting operations in North America.

Mr. Relf earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Arizona. He holds a certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
