Andy Walker

Mr. Walker specializes in working with executives in communication, media and technology companies to develop and implement strategies that enable them to improve their financial position by developing new platforms for growth and improving the productivity of their core operations. He has advised on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, with a particular area of expertise in complying with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States and foreign ownership, control or influence requirements.
With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Walker works with clients to develop their strategies, operating models and roadmaps, and then provides leadership throughout the complex transformational efforts. He has worked across multiple business contexts, including MA&D, activist investor situations, business transformations and periods of rapid industry change.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Walker was the Global Lead for Accenture’s Communications & Media Industry, where he worked with senior clients around the world to shape transformational programs to improve their business models and platforms. While at Accenture, he led projects to help clients improve their business profitability, operating margins, capital efficiency and revenue growth. He also worked with several telecommunications companies to assist them with the national security compliance efforts.
Mr. Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, philosophy and political science from Dickinson College and an MBA from George Washington University. He spent four years working for members of the House Telecommunications Subcommittee of the U.S. Congress. Additionally, Mr. Walker has been published in the Wall Street Journal, The Journal of Telecommunications, The M&A Journal, CFO.com, Deloitte.com, Telecom Reseller, The Fast Mode, Accenture.com and Computer Weekly. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and events and has presented at Mobile World Congress, International Broadcasters Conference, Digital Transformation World, The Consumer Electronics Show, The Silicon Valley Roundtable, The American Bar Association Conference, the GSMA Strategy Committee and the Risk Management Conference.
