DETROIT, May 23, 2023 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced the appointment of Detroit-based Daniel Jerneycic as a Managing Director in its Restructuring & Turnaround Practice. Mr. Jerneycic’s extensive automotive industry experience bolsters A&M’s lines of service to help domestic and international clients drive value, profitability, and growth amidst economic disruption and volatility.

Mr. Jerneycic advises both OEMs and Tier I & II suppliers across various component parts segments. He has worked alongside secured lenders and equity investors, provided client support in liquidity management and forecasting, led cost reduction and pricing optimization programs, participated in customer and labor negotiations, and participated in strategic and business plan development.

Most recently, Mr. Jerneycic developed and led the turnaround and commercial settlement strategy of a Tier I automotive supplier. Key activities included part profitability assessment, financial modeling, liquidity management and forecasting, customer negotiations, vendor management, lender and stakeholder reporting, and overall strategy implementation.

Mr. Jerneycic earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s in accounting from University of Michigan’s Ross business school. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor, and Certified in Financial Forensics.
