Why Collaboration and Global Opportunities Matter in Consulting Careers

What motivated your return to Alvarez & Marsal, and how has the transition been?

The collaborative culture and positive team dynamics perfectly match my professional values. Three core values—integrity, quality and inclusive diversity—resonate deeply with me. The supportive environment and strong cultural fit made this decision easy, and the transition back has been seamless. Equally important, the firm’s global scope offers opportunities to work across different cultures and locations, an aspect that continues to inspire my professional and personal growth.

How have past experiences shaped your leadership and problem-solving?

Setbacks have taught me to stay composed, break down complex issues methodically and develop practical solutions. Through leadership, I’ve learned the power of active listening, clear communication and adapting my approach to inspire others. Trust and accountability form the foundation of strong results.

What role have mentorship and relationships played in your career growth?

Great mentors don’t just help you solve problems; they help you anticipate them. Their guidance has built my confidence and sharpened my leadership style. Just as important are the colleagues who challenge, support and believe in us. Those relationships truly drive professional growth and achievement.

How to Know When It’s Time to Rejoin a Former Employer

What advice would you give to those considering returning to a former employer?

Rejoining a former employer can be incredibly rewarding if the fit is still right. Before you go back, reflect on why you left, confirm the culture still aligns with your values and goals, and ensure the role offers real growth, not just familiarity. When those factors align, the transition feels both natural and energizing. The key is returning for growth opportunities.
