Yatish Desai

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Desai has provided leadership on complex client-related issues triggered by market dynamics, regulatory pressures, and advances in disruptive technology, using M&A and changes in business operating model or leadership to deliver actionable plans and drive value. Mr. Desai has worked on both sides (industry and consulting) to provide expertise associated with products and services in industrial, consumer market, and life sciences supply chains.
Mr. Desai’s notable assignments include leading an end-to-end supply chain cost optimization for a global mining, construction, and engineering equipment manufacturer, achieving over $100 million of annual recurring savings through complexity reduction and operational efficiency improvements. He has also worked in automotive original equipment manufacturing, Tier 1 supply chains, global heating, ventilation, and air conditioning manufacturing, pharmaceutical distribution, medical technology, and consumer goods.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Desai was a Partner and Global Center of Excellence Leader for the Supply Chain and Operations Execution practice at KPMG, where he was instrumental in building the practice from the ground up. Mr. Desai has held several management roles spanning manufacturing, quality management, plant management and maintenance, operations management, product management and marketing, innovation, and R&D, including senior executive leadership at a Fortune 400 conglomerate for the White Goods and Medical Products division.
Mr. Desai earned a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and a master’s degree in materials engineering and MBA in operations management and marketing from Case Western Reserve University. He is published with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Inbound Logistics, and Inside Supply Management Magazine. He was recognized as a “Top 50 Supply Chain and Operations Consultant” in 2023 by The Consulting Report.
