Will Rhode is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Environmental, Social & Governance Services in London, and leads the practice in EMEA. He brings more than 15 years of experience as a management consultant and private equity advisor.

Mr. Rhode helps investors understand material ESG factors pre-deal, so they can invest with confidence and execute on value creation and operational improvement plans effectively post-deal. He also brings experience in fund advisory, having supported a number of private investors and government entities create ESG, impact and climate focused funds in both equity and credit. He has helped portfolio companies, across a range of sectors, manage their ESG programs, such as decarbonization and supply chain management. Towards the end of the investment cycle, he helps investors better understand how ESG factors can support higher valuations.

Additionally, Mr. Rhode brings deep expertise in strategic advisory, regulation and financial services.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Rhode was a Financial Services Strategy & Transactions partner at Ernst & Young in London, and the Global Private Equity ESG leader. At EY, he was responsible for supporting private equity clients on their ESG due diligence and portfolio company needs. Given his focus on financial services, he also supported a number of asset management firms, as well as banks, on their ESG programs, in both Europe and the Middle East.

Previously, Mr. Rhode was a partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where he was EMEA lead for Financial Services in the Private Equity and Principal Investor practice, as well as a core member of financial institutions, with a focus on capital markets, wholesale banking and risk topics.

Mr. Rhode earned a bachelor’s degree in politics science from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. He has lived and worked in the U.S., India, China, France, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
