Tom Gildersleeve is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Consumer and Retail Group in Chicago.

Mr. Gildersleeve is a cost transformation leader with over 15 years of consulting experience. He specializes in leading post-merger integration, operational improvement, and strategic sourcing programs for his clients across the food and beverage, consumer goods, and apparel industries. He has particularly deep functional expertise in marketing, sales, and operations.

Mr. Gildersleeve’s representative engagements include: negotiating non-working media agency fees for a global food and beverage leader; unlocking packaging-related costs from a global apparel company via vendor negotiations and demand management; and conducting a rapid assessment of store profitability to rationalize the store footprint of a leading dollar store chain. Notably, he led post-merger integration activities across all functional areas for the Canadian business unit of a $4 billion apparel distribution company, including designing and mobilizing a new commercial organization.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gildersleeve spent over 10 years at Kearney where he served as a Senior Manager in the Strategic Operations practice. 

Mr. Gildersleeve earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
