Shilpa Patel

Ms. Patel specializes in large commercial transformation programs across consumer goods and health, including growth strategy, commercial organization and operating models, marketing effectiveness and efficiency, digital marketing, capability development, digital transformation, and post-merger integrations. Her experience spans 20+ years leading significant programs focused on commercial growth, digitally enabled capability building, and full organization and operating model transformations.
Ms. Patel’s notable engagements include leading a global digital marketing transformation for a consumer company across 20+ markets, creating eight hubs to accelerate omnichannel capabilities, and delivering $150+ million in value over three years. She advised on the design of a new commercial organization across marketing and e-commerce for a consumer company post-carve-out and private equity buyout; removing £30 million in costs by driving marketing efficiency and reorienting the operating model to be digital- and consumer-centric. Ms. Patel also developed a radical growth strategy for a top snacks company. She worked with business unit leaders and Insights and Innovation teams to create bold, new growth strategies to drive deeper consumer engagement and profitability, unlocking £800 million growth over three years. She has also designed new operating models and organizations for consumer health companies to drive future growth and effectiveness. She designed and published a global study with Google to evaluate digital marketing maturity across industries, which is now a standard for benchmarking. She also designed a digital vision and strategy for a consumer health company focusing on value delivery and organization enablers.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Patel was a Managing Director and Partner with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in its Consumer practice and co-led its Global Digital Marketing Accelerator. In addition to her client service roles, she has always taken on leadership roles focused on developing people in a nurturing and sustainable workplace. Before BCG, she was a Principal at Marakon, working on healthcare, consumer, and finance projects. She started her career in brand management at Procter & Gamble, working in haircare on the Pantene brand.
Ms. Patel earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College London and an MBA from INSEAD.
