Quentin Mulet-Marquis

Mr. Mulet-Marquis’ notable assignments in the META region include advising ADCB on both its $16+ billion three-way merger with UNB and Al Hilal and the sale of Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties to Nine Yards. He advised ADQ on the acquisition of Odea Bank from Bank Audi; Al Khaliji Bank on its $2.2 billion acquisition by Masraf Al Rayan; and Investbank on its $0.7 billion recapitalization and guarantee package. Mr. Mulet-Marquis also advised Barclays on the $5+ billion sale of its stake in ABSA and the sale of Barclays Egypt to Attijariwafa.
Mr. Mulet-Marquis’ other notable engagements include advising La Banque Postale on the €6.1 billion acquisition of a controlling stake in CNP and the €0.4 billion acquisition of a 35 percent stake in LBPF from Société Générale; advising LSEG on the €4.3 billion sale of Borsa Italiana to Euronext; PFG on its successful defense against the £1.3 billion hostile takeover offer from NSF; and Barclays on its successful defense against activist investor Sherborne.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mulet-Marquis spent 10 years with Barclays in the FIG EMEA and Corporate Development departments in Dubai and London, serving most recently as Head of FIG in META and ex-officio member of the MENA Management Committee.
Mr. Mulet-Marquis earned a master’s degree in accountancy and finance from Heriot Watt University, where he received the Bill Johnston Prize for Best Performance in the School of Management & Languages. He was selected as a Young Leader by the French-African Foundation. A French national, Mr. Mulet-Marquis is fluent in French, English and Dutch.
