Mark Kindy is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in New York. He specializes in discovery management, digital media, data and digital investigations, cryptocurrency, information, records and document management and technology and operations management.

With more than 30 years of litigation, discovery, data analytics and technology experience, Mr. Kindy has assisted corporations and law firms on all aspects of litigation readiness, technology, data and discovery process activities. His primary areas of concentration are evidence and discovery management and advanced data analytics. Mr. Kindy has worked with clients across a range of industries, including construction, financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, energy, telecom, media and entertainment, automotive, aerospace, consumer products and technology.

Mr. Kindy’s recent notable engagements include serving as Chief Information Officer, Chief Data Officer and leader of the Data Mining & Analytics and eDiscovery teams for the Lehman Brothers Holdings bankruptcy, assisting with the wind-down, claims adjudication processes and litigation. Additionally, he directed the collection, processing and presentation of historical environmental documents for two top 10 international oil companies in their environmental insurance cost recovery claim matters.

Furthermore, Mr. Kindy’s notable clients include large banks, energy, automotive, telecommunications, media, aerospace and defense, tobacco, healthcare, media, technology and manufacturing companies, as well as a major sports league and hundreds of law firms.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kindy worked with global professional services firms as a Partner and Managing Director and led legal services firms in Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President positions.

Mr. Kindy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting (high distinction) from Indiana University. A CPA in Ohio and Arizona, he was a member of The Sedona Conference, Working Group 1 Possession, Custody and Control Drafting Committee and WG1 Defensible Deletion Drafting Committee. Mr. Kindy is also a board member of the .406 Executive Data Council and the Indiana University Cybersecurity Advisory Council. He has been recognized multiple times by Chambers as an Industry Leader in eDiscovery.
