Mark Bennett is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Singapore. He specializes in transaction tax, and his primary areas of concentration are M&A, initial public offerings (IPOs), restructurings, and carve-outs.
With more than 27 years of experience, Mr. Bennett has lived and worked in Sydney, London, Dubai, and Singapore.
Mr. Bennett’s notable assignments include acting for General Electric Company on the disposal of GE Capital, acting for the Public Investment Fund on the disposal of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), and leading the tax reporting accountant work for Saudi Aramco on its IPO.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bennett was a Partner at EY and held a number of senior roles, including leading the Transaction Tax practice across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa.
Mr. Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in law and a bachelor’s degree in commerce. He is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
