Kepha Chin

Mr. Chin’s notable engagements include leading supply chain recovery efforts for a $1 billion vehicle manufacturer to reduce production downtime by 50%. The engagement focused on supplier stabilization (planning, production/changeovers, preventative/recovery maintenance, and shipping) and rebuilding on-hand/supplier inventory levels for a key plastics supplier. He also led re-sourcing/tool transfers in the medium term to stabilize inbound component flow.
Mr. Chin also led a capacity forecasting and planning initiative for a $350 million high-mix/low-volume pump manufacturer to mitigate ~$50 million of revenue risk. He led the development of planning BOMs, visualization tools and process improvements that enabled utilization forecasting for in-house machining cells and component-level forecasting for supplier-purchased components.
Previously, Mr. Chin led a material cost reduction program across ~$300 million spend and 40 ingredient categories for a food contract manufacturer, identifying and awarding agreements representing over $20 million in annual savings. The R&D stage-gate process was redesigned to prioritize and expedite material qualification. Mr. Chin also led a cost reduction program across $100 million spend and 10 direct material categories for an automotive parts manufacturer, awarding agreements representing $8.3 million in annual savings while limiting supplier transitions to 4% of part numbers.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Chin was a Senior Consultant at BravoSolution, where he contributed to RFP strategy, custom design, and execution for client engagements.
Mr. Chin earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Notre Dame
