Karen Engstrom

With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Engstrom has provided affirmative and rebuttal expert testimony in trial, deposition, arbitration and mediation, including valuation and solvency analyses, damage assessments involving lost profits, lost business value and lost earnings, as well as the interpretation of accounting and other financial metrics.
Ms. Engstrom has prepared expert reports and advised independent parties and boards on a variety of accounting, damage and valuation related issues in commercial litigation and bankruptcy-related matters, including claims for breach of contract, fraudulent conveyance, post-acquisition disputes, accounting malpractice, employment disputes, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, and a variety of others. Ms. Engstrom has also performed fraud investigations and compliance audits.
Ms. Engstrom has worked with clients in various industries, including aerospace, casino/gaming, construction, consumer products, financial services, government, healthcare, manufacturing, multi-level marketing, private equity, professional services, real estate, retail, technology and transportation.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Engstrom was a Director with FTI Consulting. Previously, she was with the forensic and dispute practices of both KPMG and Arthur Andersen.
Ms. Engstrom earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Arizona. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
