Mr. Blanchet is well known within the private equity and venture capital communities, having represented the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association in advocating for positive changes to the investment landscape in Canada. He has also supported some of Canada’s largest corporations with their corporate development activities.

With more than 20 years of M&A tax experience, Mr. Blanchet is recognized as a creative practitioner and an expert at developing solutions in even the most difficult or unusual situations. He has advised clients through numerous IPOs and take-private transactions, cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, and various internal reorganizations.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Blanchet spent more than 15 years leading the M&A tax practices at KPMG and Deloitte in Canada.

Mr. Blanchet earned a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Waterloo. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, and currently serves on the government relations committee for the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association.
