Debra Cash is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Houston. She specializes in corporate finance, financial reporting, accounting remediation and accounting-related business process improvements for healthy and troubled companies in a variety of industries.
With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Cash’s primary area of focus includes assisting CFOs and their finance and accounting organizations through large scale turnarounds, including advising through the bankruptcy process. She also provides assistance with technical accounting and reporting matters, including fresh start accounting for entities emerging from bankruptcy.
Ms. Cash also has experience assisting companies with the preparation for IPO and navigating complex accounting remediation projects, including restatement.She also brings interim management experience, having served as a CFO.
Ms. Cash earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas.
