Claire Lambert is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax U.K. in London. She brings 18 years of experience in corporate and international tax. Ms. Lambert works with multinational companies active across the globe but has particular expertise in the U.K., U.S. and European jurisdictions, including UK-outbound and -inbound work, focusing on U.K.-outbound.
Claire’s clients have included a wide range of companies from some of the largest listed multinationals right the way through to growing privately held companies.  She has worked with clients across a wide range of industries including technology, retail, pharmaceutical, hotel, leisure, manufacturing, publishing, investment management and real estate sectors.
 
Claire has considerable tax experience related to international tax structuring, mergers & acquisitions, acquisition structuring, tax efficient financing, group reconstructions and reorganisations and repatriation planning. She focuses on the detailed aspects of the UK loan relationship rules, controlled foreign company legislation, reorganisation provisions and other aspects of the legislation related to international transactions. Claire also has significant experience in tax reporting and compliance for UK multinational companies.
 
Prior to joining A&M, Claire spent 15 ½ years with Deloitte in London as a member of their international tax team.  She worked on many large international projects and has extensive experience of leading large complex projects managing multiple stakeholders to deliver in a challenging timeframe. She also worked on negotiations with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs in relation to obtaining clearances for transactions and settling historical disputes for some of the largest UK listed groups. In her time at Deloitte she has also participated in several short client secondments and a secondment to HMRC for 3 months to assist with an OECD project.
 
Claire earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with mathematical physics and management from Imperial College London. She is also a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).​
