Blago Petkov

Mr. Petkov brings two decades of Big Four accounting experience advising large private equity firms and multinational corporate clients on U.S. and international tax matters. He has managed the M&A deal cycle for numerous acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, spin-offs, reorganizations, and IPOs in virtually every industry sector.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Petkov was a Partner with the International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) of Ernst & Young. Among other roles, he served as the Global ITTS Leader for the firm’s largest global private equity client, overseeing the U.S. tax aspects and execution of all transactions globally with EY’s involvement.
Prior to that, Mr. Petkov spent five years with Deloitte’s Special Acquisition Services Group, serving the firm’s largest global private equity client. He began his career with Deloitte and completed a rotation with their National Tax Office, focusing on the technical tax aspects of some of its most significant corporate transactions.
Mr. Petkov earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and control as well as international tourism (both with honors) from the University of Economics in Varna, Bulgaria. He earned a master’s degree in accountancy (taxation concentration, with honors) from the George Washington University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in New York and Virginia.
