Mr. Filian has held management roles in the payments service sector, led corporate transformations in international corporations, and taken on various interim management roles for private equity portfolio companies. Mr. Filian is recognized for his deep expertise in risk and compliance management, group-wide transformations, and cost optimization along with his strong networks of leading industry players and private equity firms. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Filian was Head of Transformation Management for Compliance, Anti Financial Crime, and Risk Management at Nexi Group, specializing in risk strategy, execution, and building up governance structures. He led international compliance remediation programs to secure the license to operate in Europe from legal to execution. Mr. Filian has built up governance structures across the three lines of defense (3LoD). He is recognized as a crisis manager in the remediation of regulatory fine proceedings and is known for disruptive business transformation results, realizing value enhancement targets for private equity-owned portfolio companies.

Before that, Mr. Filian ran his own boutique consulting agency in the field of digital transformation and strategy execution, where he took on several interim management roles. He led and executed various projects for private equity-owned portfolio companies, global family offices, wealth and asset managers, insurance companies, and payment service providers. Moreover, he built a global payments platform for a global family office from scratch, through design, execution, and regulatory authority approval. Mr. Filian also managed various large-scale corporate transformation programs, led operational excellence programs, and executed value enhancement measures.

Mr. Filian earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management and a master’s degree in business administration and economics from HHL Graduate School of Management, Leipzig. He is fluent in English, German, French, and Spanish.
