Jon Ahern is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Denver. He specializes in financial, economic, and accounting issues related to disputes and investigations. Mr. Ahern brings expertise in commercial damages analyses, causation analyses, complex data analyses, and general litigation support.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Ahern has assisted corporate clients and counsel with diverse matters related to technology, financial institutions, natural resources, real estate, manufacturing, telecommunications, utilities, media, insurance, mining, government contracts, employment, and other industries. His experience includes providing expert witness testimony on over 40 matters and performing privileged consulting roles, including internal corporate investigations.

Mr. Ahern brings broad experience on matters involving commercial damages, business valuations, accounting investigations, intellectual property damages, and causation analyses. He has provided expert witness testimony on matters before federal courts, state courts, regulatory bodies, and arbitration panels.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ahern was a Director with Navigant Consulting and a Vice-President with Tucker Alan Inc. focusing on commercial damages, forensic accounting investigations, and other litigation support.

Mr. Ahern earned a bachelor’s degree in economics (accounting and finance emphasis, magna cum laude) from Colorado College. He completed additional coursework in accounting at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of Colorado and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
