David Weill

With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Weill has held senior positions in the automotive industry and management consulting. His main areas of concentration are performance improvement, strategy and business transformation, turnarounds and mergers. He has worked across a range of industries, including aerospace and defense, telecom equipment and semiconductors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Weill spent 10 years at Forvia in various positions in strategy, business development and general management. Most recently, he led the EM division of Faurecia Interiors (12 plants in seven countries, 4,800 employees), where he over-delivered his budget targets (EBIT, cash). Mr. Weill supervised the commercial negotiations with main automotive manufacturers for his perimeter (especially in the context of chip shortages and inflation pass-through) and successfully steered processes/tools for tight cash management. He also kicked-off crisis task forces for new vehicle launches in Brazil and South Africa.
Additionally, while serving as VP Strategy for Faurecia Interiors, Mr. Weill developed the growth strategy in electronics, leading acquisitions of medium-size companies and joint-ventures in electronics and interior-decoration fields. He also supported the group in transformational M&A and divestures. Mr. Weill successfully conducted the carve-out of non-profitable businesses, including plants in the U.S., Spain, Korea, Argentina and India; supervised multiple footprint strategy reviews; and led associated restructuring/functions efficiency initiatives. Earlier, he served as Partner with A.T. Kearney in Paris, with a focus on technology industries.
Mr. Weill earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ecole Centrale-Supélec (diplôme d’ingénieur) and a master's degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University. A French national, he is fluent in French and English and proficient in Italian.
