Mr. Kuznetsov’s primary area of concentration is operational improvements. He has worked with clients in various industries, including metals and mining, fertilizers, chemicals and other heavy industries. 

Mr. Kuznetsov’s recent engagements include leading a readiness and schedule optimisation project for a maintenance shutdown of a generation unit at one the largest power plants in Europe. His team assessed client readiness, developed plans for the first 14 days of shutdown, reduced critical path, and created float in the schedule.  

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kuznetsov was Head of M&A and Corporate Development at EuroChem, a major fertilizer producer. He led operational due diligence and evaluation on a number of acquisitions, including $450 million acquisition of Sierra do Salitre, an operating phosphate mine and chemical plant under construction in Brazil. 

Mr. Kuznetsov also led operational improvement projects such as de-bottlenecking processing facilities and optimizing greenfield investment projects. He led a cross-functional team that developed a capital management programme, a stage-gate based evaluation and approval system for investment projects from concept through studies and construction. Mr. Kuznetsov assessed, optimized and presented to the board of directors investment proposals ranging from $20 million to $1.5 billion in Capex.  

Mr. Kuznetsov earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Arnhem Business School, an MBA from INSEAD, and a Ph.D. in economics from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. A Russian and British national, Mr. Kuznetsov is fluent in Russian, English, French and Polish and has a basic knowledge of Dutch.
