Jonathan Marshall

With more than 20 years of forensic technology experience, Mr. Marshall regularly serves as an expert on data analytics, digital forensics, and eDiscovery related to data-driven events in litigation, investigations, bankruptcy, and regulatory actions (including antitrust, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act investigations).
Most notably, Mr. Marshall has advised the estate of a prominent crypto exchange following its Chapter 11 filing. This assignment included managing multiple workstreams, including data analytics and advisory of the exchange’s core data systems, and assisting counsel and the estate’s financial advisors in responding to hundreds of litigation and regulatory requests across multiple global jurisdictions.
Previously, Mr. Marshall advised legal teams involved in cross-border investigations and litigation around the world, including the U.S., the U.K., the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany, Italy, France, China, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, Switzerland, Turks and Caicos, and The Bahamas. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including crypto and digital assets, construction, consumer goods, defense, energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, mining, technology, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Marshall served as Senior Managing Director and U.S. Discovery Practice Lead at Ankura Consulting Group, where he was responsible for overseeing discovery consulting and operations across the U.S. He also served as Managing Director with Navigant Consulting in London, where he co-led the international Legal Technology Solutions practice.
Mr. Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is regular thought leader and speaker at industry-specific events, continuing legal education events, and seminars.
