Lindsay Palmquist is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Performance Improvement group in Washington, D.C. She specializes in due diligence, merger integration, cost-take-out and business process improvement.

With 13 years of consulting experience in both the U.S. and Europe, Ms. Palmquist has advised a wide range of public and private clients within the hospitality, multifamily, retail and office sectors.  

Ms. Palmquist’s notable assignments include advising on the Lehman Brothers and IVG restructuring, providing store location analysis to major retailers across Europe and the U.S. and advising major third party hotel management companies on performance improvement, organizational review and strategic sourcing.  

Additionally, Ms. Palmquist was involved in a pre-close merger integration for the proposed merger of two large U.S. based hospitality management companies, identifying run-rate synergy opportunities between $20.7 million and $38.6 million. Before that, she advised an international hotel management company with over 3,000 hotels with a pre-acquisition due diligence and synergy assessment relating to the potential acquisition of an international lifestyle hotel company with 85 properties. This included an analysis of the hotel management operations, in-place contracts and the company’s corporate operations. 

Furthermore, Ms. Palmquist has completed several strategic sourcing initiatives on behalf of hospitality management companies, including a third-party manager with over $50 million in annualized food and non-food spend, which included a market basket analysis and conducting vendor negotiations; assisting a leading global third-party management company with over 500 hotels to evaluate and enhance its purchasing programs focused on specific areas of spend, including food, hotel supplies and capital items; and assisting with a post-close integration of two large U.S. based hospitality management companies to integrate their purchasing functions.  

Ms. Palmquist earned a bachelor’s degree in finance/marketing (secondary focus in economics and political science) (summa cum laude) from the University of Denver.
