Britta Mittler is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Frankfurt. She specializes in transactions and large-scale transformations, IPO readiness, financing rounds, carve-outs and post-merger integrations, organizational change and risk management systems implementation. Ms. Mittler has also served as Interim Chief Financial Officer for clients undergoing large-scale, multi-country transformations and post-merger integrations.

Ms. Mittler focuses on FP&A and lean reporting, developing robust financial planning cycles rooted in underlying value and cost drivers, leading process optimization initiatives and organizational right-seizing. She also has a background in operations, including advising B2B and B2C clients on optimized pricing and customer retention and setting up targeted incentive schemes to support salesforce effectiveness.

Most recently, Ms. Mittler served as interim CFO for the largest independent KVG (“Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft”) in the DACH region, helping secure a significant refinancing round (senior and junior debt tranches), stabilizing and building up the finance function, insourcing the procurement function and working on M&A discussions. She also defined a significant cost-take out program to enhance operational efficiency and implemented functional budgets to create clear accountability for defined cost-take out measures.

Previously, Ms. Mittler supported the finance function of a publicly listed, multibillion Euro chocolate manufacturer, helping to significantly improve net working capital management and overall reporting quality. She was interim CFO for a Nordic Capital Portfolio Company, a global, publicly listed tech company with ~€300 million revenue, 1,000 employees and operations in the Nordics, the U.S. and India. She consolidated two organizations following an M&A transaction, aligned and streamlined teams and processes, and established governance standards. Ms. Mittler also served as interim Finance Director for CarNext (part of Constellation Automotive Group, a TDR capital portfolio company),  

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Mittler served with the Deloitte Consulting GmbH Mergers & Acquisitions Team. She started her career in the Investment Banking Division of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

Ms. Mittler earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Justus-Liebig-University. A German national, she is fluent in German and English and conversational in French.
