With semiconductor companies investing and building new manufacturing facilities in the U.S., leaders would like to put parts of their supply chain in Mexico.
“Nearshoring is a specific consideration because of the trade agreements that are in place. That and the added bonus of lower labor rates…makes Mexico a very attractive option for putting certain parts of the semiconductor supply chain there,” said Scott Jones, A&M Managing Director and Co-Leader of its Software, Technology & Services group.
