Strategic Energy Management
Bring Financial and Operational Discipline in Managing the Energy Value Chain
A&M Energy Analytics has developed technologies and services to digitize the Energy Value Chain, making it simple to determine what actions should be taken. Using manual, independent processes will never identify synergies across numerous facilities based in multiple jurisdictions with thousands of rate classes. Our real-time predictive analytics engine, along with procurement and accounts payable support, allows for a comprehensive view of the opportunities that define our client’s Energy Management Program.
Our Phase-Gate Process to Real-Time Energy Data and Analytics
We understand the challenges that state and local governments as well as academic institutions face when realigning and rationalizing their budgetary goals to the current environment, which is magnified by reduced tax revenues, the need for cost savings, and challenged deferred maintenance programs. Below is our three-phase process to strategic energy management.
Phase 1: Eight-Week Energy Reduction Program
This program allows us to pinpoint energy cost reduction opportunities leveraging historical billing data in a short timeframe at no risk to the client. Our fee is performance based and we typically see a 2% to 6% savings range.
Phase 2: The Data and Energy Management Plan
Our team of energy experts prioritize energy efficiency investments, highlight equipment and energy usage anomalies, and identify energy savings strategies. With drill-down capability (leveraging interval meter data) our clients can visually assess the gaps or opportunities in their facility portfolio and better understand historical energy usage and energy demand. Energy savings during this phase typically range from 2% to 9%.
Phase 3: Active Energy Management
Once the data justifies moving a facility to real-time data energy analytics (our RTIS® platform) enabling proactive energy management and demand reduction, our team lays out the formal business case including all costs and the identification of all operational improvements, investment opportunities and potential financing for the first year (if applicable). We typically see up to 10% in additional energy savings with real-time energy data.
Create Visibility to Your Energy Value Chain
Understanding how, when, and at what cost energy is consumed can lead to significant savings in energy spend while optimizing building equipment and systems performance. Our clients are looking for a comprehensive Energy Management Program that incorporates “best of breed” providers that are instrumental in managing the Energy Value Chain.
Offer Transparency to the Energy Function to Make Better Operational Energy Decisions
By combining the power of our energy analytics software with A&M’s industry expertise and consulting capabilities, our clients gain valuable insights to reduce energy costs, identify operational improvements, and analyze and prioritize investment opportunities, while addressing sustainability needs.
Maximize the Efficiency of Your Energy Management Program
A&M Energy Analytics leverages a cloud-based, energy data analytics platform that uses proprietary software that collects consumption and demand data on one-minute intervals while embedding facility tariffs, grid conditions and weather to bring the granularity and visibility that our clients require to address their energy spend as strategic and not just a monthly bill to be paid. We work in partnership with our clients to identify their key cost energy drivers and implement best-fit cost reduction strategies that are aligned with their financial goals.
